Haze Clears In 2007, Forecast Shows Return In 2008

haze delay

Ubisoft has delayed the release of pretentious first-person shooter Haze from early December to the first quarter of 2008, according to Gamasutra. The timed PS3 exclusive, Free Radical-developed shooter should be worth the wait, however, because it’s, like, totally a work of art, man.

All joking aside, Haze hasn’t failed to impress with its gorgeous graphics, superpower-fueled gameplay, and focus on narrative. It features several 16-player competitive multiplayer modes and 4-player online co-op as well, so regardless of your personal poison, Haze has just what the doctor ordered.

This delay comes as a surprise, as Ubisoft just recently announced the game was on schedule to hit its December release date. In order to avoid stiff competition from AAA titles like Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, however, the publisher has decided to hold the game until it can be loosed in friendlier (but more more dinosaur-infested) times.
