Last Chaos

Posted by MPG-David on Wednesday 7th of May 2008 05:05:38 AM

lc_36_preview.jpgIn my last post I was talking about the MPG site ‘ Aeria games’ http://www.aeriagames.com/. This is a review on the game ‘Last Chaos’ which is one of there downloadable MPRPG’s.

Last Chaos which you can find here http://lastchaos.aeriagames.com/ is your classic RPG, In that it does not offer anything different in terms of game-play, from your standard RPG.

However its the online environment, and its unique take on crucial online interaction and pet companion’s in order to succeed in the game. That make ‘Last Chaos’ particularly addictive.

The members area for ‘Last Chaos’ also has daily events, completion of which can earn you ‘Aeria points’ which enable you to upgrade your characters faster than if you just upgrade their skills through battle.

GTA IV Comparison Video; 360 vs. PS3

Posted by MPG_PuzzleFighterFan on Tuesday 6th of May 2008 12:18:42 PM

For the eccentric fanboy, the always reliable GameVideos has a direct comparison between the two versions of the new Grand Theft Auto. The difference? Good luck finding any. Once could say the PS3 colors are slightly richer, but that could just as easily be the means of recording. There are also a few frame rate hitches during the driving sequences on the PS3, but it’s so minor, you may not even notice.

So, does this finally settle the debate between which hardware is more powerful? You have one of the most complex, involving games ever made, and both systems have running nearly flawless. Fanboys, seriously, please stop. Make everyone happier.

A site worth checking out

A very cool looking girl with wings onI spent most of my Saturday looking around the Internet, and I came across a fantastic site called ‘Aeria Games’, which is definitely worth checking out!

The site is basically all about free, yes that is correct ‘free’ online multi-player RPG’S. All you have to do is register. Which gets you into your own account, complete with a profile with which you can communicate with other online gamers which is pretty cool. And from there you download one of there many RPG’S, so that you can play it.

I am still exploring this site, and its many features. And I will keep you updated on there RPG’S. Especially the one I just downloaded ‘Last Chaos’ of which I have included some screen shots. Its a multiple player RPG set in the land of Iris, within which terror reigns after an epic battle with the gods. As a player you have full control over your characters destiny, and as such every action and decision you make affects your characters path through the game. It is through completing missions and exploring the world of ‘Last Chaos’ that you increase your characters abilities, enabling you to become the true Ruler of Iris.

And I have to say it looks pretty good! I will keep you posted on the site and all the games within it.

I also recommend you check out their amazingly frustrating but highly addictive ‘mini games’ which you have access too, from your profile. One of the cities

Another Set of Street Fighter IV Characters Revealed

Posted by MPG_PuzzleFighterFan on Monday 5th of May 2008 05:27:12 AM

Two veteran bosses are making a return for the next installment of this iconic franchise. Balrog, boxer extraordinaire, the first boss players encountered in Street Fighter II is first up here. His character model remains relatively accurate to the original sprite, although now in 3-D. His charge punches are still intact if the screen shots are any indication.

Vega is the second inclusion, an Italian with a mask and Wolverine like claw. Like Balrog, Vega seems to have most of his specials intact, including the swan dive. However, his roll which led to an easy multi-hit combo isn’t pictured. Again, the character model is respectful to the original with the tattoo across his chest that was so distinctive.

Check out the eight screens over at Kotaku.

GTA IV Launch Marred by Glitches

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of this insanely hot title are experiencing some issues. Some people have been experiencing freezing during the extended opening cinematic. Kotaku called a rep from Rockstar who claimed only 60 GB PS3s. They also confirmed the Xbox 360 version is experiencing the same issues, though which models are no mentioned.

On the other hand, Joystiq claims they cannot confirm Xbox 360 issues. They were told to erase the install and save data and start over from scratch. The site is also reporting on sever problems with the PS3 edition. Can someone say overload?

From personal experience on a 360 Elite about two hours in, everything has been running smoothly. Not even a hiccup has been noted. At the very least, the glitch seems to be happening before player get hours into the game and are forced to start over.

Still playing This is Football 2005? What? You Are?

Seriously?

Well, you’re apparently the only one. Said footie title and others are going offline forever. June 30th will be the final day these games will see multi-player action online. Notable drop outs include Twisted Metal Black Online and Everybody’s (i.e., Hot Shots) Golf. Two handheld PSP titles are included in this money saving venture including Lemmings (which hasn’t been out that long for those paying attention), and sub-par World Tour Soccer 2.

Hardcore gamers will mourn the loss of music title Amplitude, a cult classic. Shooter fans can cry at the loss of Syphon Filter: Omega Strain. You can view the full list and cry on your own time at Sony’s UK help site.
