Earlier this week, Sony held their E3 2008 Keynote. I was away on holidays whilst the keynote was taking place so I couldn’t keep you up-to-date with all the latest happenings. So, for those of you who don’t already know what was discussed, here’s a quick wrap-up of all the main headlines from Sony’s E3 keynote.
Headlines:
“If PlayStation in 2007 was all about hardware, PlayStation in 2008 is all about software.”
Resistance 2 caused cheers from the audience as Ted Price of Insomniac took on a 300 foot high Chimeran monster!
PlayStation Network gets a single sign-on system this Autumn on PS3, PSP and PC. You’ll be able to check your friends list on the PC.
The new video service will appear as a new tab in the PS Store. On day one, Sony Pictures, Fox, MGM, Lions Gate, Warner Brothers, Disney and more will have content available. Movies can be copied to the PSP. When does it launch - right now, apparently!
Life with PlayStation, the global news and weather service MultiplayerGames got the scoop on last month, will launch by the end of July.
SOE previewed DC Universe, a new MMO for the PS3.
God of War III was announced as expected - “In the end, there will be only chaos!”
MAG (Massive Action Game) was launched. 256-player online madness!
