E3 2008: New Dashboard Brings Vastly Changed Experience to 360

Are you over the lack of a Spring update? You shouldn’t be. It was time well spent. The fall update will completely reinvent the Xbox 360 dashboard. Taking an approach close to Windows Vista, the new dash displays all details perfectly and easily accessible. A new avatar system matches Nintendo’s Mii’s, and comes off as a copy. However, the number of options are staggering and there are more features planned. The friends list now shows the avatar of the player, not just a text list.

Also, eight players can chat at the same time in a party mode. You’re always connected with friends, and can even share things such as photos.
