Demos Land on Xbox Live

Xbox 360

Like driving in Gotham while in FEAR over Bees or Conan killing the Simpsons and the Looney Tunes? Xbox Live has obliged with six demos over the past few days.

PGR4 continues Bizzare Creations arcade racing series in fine style. Sadly, the latest Geometry Wars update stays exclusive to the full version. Bee Movie Game is based off the upcoming animated movie starring Jerry Seinfeld, and plays much like the full motion video games of old. That’s not so good.

F.E.A.R. Files: Extraction Point is an update to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 FPS and plays exactly like it did previously. Conan revives the hulking brute in fantastically gory beat-em-up fashion in a title low on brains (oddly like its title character).

The Simpsons are revived to a video game audience in a game that is, at the least, a huge step up over the first console Simpsons title, Bart vs. The Space Mutants (Acclaim, 1991). The boss battle featured wasn’t the best option for a demo, but the shows humor and flawless graphics do hold potential. As for Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, well, don’t waste the bandwith on this hideously generic platformer.
