Thought Spawn and Link were stretches for the last outing in Namco’s franchise? The reveal of Darth Vader and Yoda from Star Wars is an even bigger one at CES. The video tells all, and reveals some sharp looking character models.

But seriously, everyone in the geek world knows that a lightsaber should cut through a steel sword, or even through Mitsurugi’s arm. This shouldn’t be a very competitive match up.

Ah, but what of the Vader vs. Yoda brawls? Not going to happen. The PS3 version goes to the darkside and features Vader exclusively, while the Xbox 360 gains the little Jedi Yoda. Let the fanboy wars commence.

Fans should be worried as the balance issues brought on by the previous exclusive character set made them overwhelmingly powerful. With glowing futuristic lightsabers, the original cast is screwed.
