One of the most infamous April Fools jokes, well, ever, appeared in EGM. It had Sheng Long, the supposed tutor of Ken and Ryu appearing at the end of the arcade version of Street Fighter II after a ridiculous number of circumstances were met. Players claimed to have found him, but it was all a lie in the end.
However, Sheng Long’s legend lives on… possibly in a new anime produced to promote the latest game in the series. The clip is entirely in Japanese, but the animation and incredible music (listen for Ryu’s orchestrated theme and Ken’s brief snippet when he appears) are enough to hold your attention. Could Sheng Long actually be real after all of these years?
