In a true sign of the gaming era we live in, Epic lead designer on Gears of War 2 Cliff Bleszinski has let us know that Gears of War 2 is already being prepped for future downloadable content which will hit the Marketplace not long after launch. The content will be multi-player focused, which more or less means new maps.
The question is, if the game doesn’t come out until November, and you already have time to create new maps, why won’t they be on the disc again? The whole thing reeks of marketing and being forced to dole out extra cash for the full experience. It’s one thing when the content comes six months later, but “not long after launch?” Sad.
