Microsoft has chosen to shut down popular RTS studio Ensemble. The news comes while the studio’s upcoming hyped Halo Wars RTS is still in development. Microsoft claimed it was purely for financial reasons, though this is the same studio that delivered Age of Empires, so how can they possibly be strapped for cash? Microsoft claims many staff members will be moved onto other projects for Microsoft Game Studios while continuing to support Halo Wars. The remaining staff will be let go. Good luck to those who will be unemployed.
