EA Goes Madden Pink for Charity for One Month

While it’s doubtful that many Madden gamers will rush out to grab a new version with different box art draped in pink, it’s the thought that counts. EA has teamed with Target to release a limited edition version of Madden 09 that will be available for one month, and only at Target.

The reason for this release is to support the Deanna Favre HOPE Foundation. A portion of the proceeds go directly to her charity to fight breast cancer. The pink part of the cover can be removed completely, so no worries if you accidentally purchase one. You won’t have to hide it from friends.

On another note, it seems cheap on EA’s part that they waited so long after the initial sales burst to do this, and they’re only doing it on the Wii and Xbox 360 versions.
