When WipeOut HD launched, the world was happy… at least those members of the populace who didn’t have a 50+ person friends list. Those that did were hit with various issues such as freezing. Basically, you had an unplayable game.
Well, the patch is coming (and depending on when you’re reading this, already out). Great news right? Don’t get so happy quite yet. There is a bit of a hiccup in this procedure, and that means you’ll have to dump your save file. The description of this update states:
“If at any time you have had over 50 users in your friends list whilst playing Wipeout it is possible that your saved data has become corrupted. If this situation applies to you, we strongly recommend once this update has installed you quit the game and delete your saved data using the saved data utility in the XMB, then relaunch the game to create a new profile.”
Ouch. Sorry popular people.
