Because two basketball games each year isn’t enough from EA Sports, the company will be releasing a significantly trimmed down version of their NCAA Basketball series on Xbox Live. The game will feature the teams from last years tournament at launch, and will later be updated to include an updated set. It appears the only mode of play will be the tourney, and the only teams will be those that actually make it.
In a baffling move however, there will be no online play to speak of. Why not let players create tournaments themselves and play out brackets on their own? For $15, this should have been guaranteed. This looks to be a Xbox Live only option at this point too, so PS3 NCAA fans are being shut down.
