Yes, the idea of a franchise reboot is alive and well in the gaming industry too. Apparently, movie companies are not the only ones who realize you can milk fans with an entirely new series thanks to the “reboot” concept.
MechWarrior (yep, that’s the entire title) will be developed by Pirahna games and Smith & Tinker, the latter founded by a former FASA founder, Jordan Weisman. No publisher, no release date, or anything along those lines for that matter. All that is known is that the game exists and will come out sometime in the future, and for the 360 and PC. Can a console handle the usually complex mech mechanics of a PC version?
Now, how about a Mech Assault reboot for the 360? Please take our idea.
