January is not typically a month associated with heavy hitters. After the Christmas rush, most people are broke and have drained their bank accounts.

Then again, maybe Zipper Interactive knows something we don’t, because they’re planning on launching their massive FPS MAG on January 26th, 2010. The hyped 256-player shooter gained the spotlight at E3, where a full demo (with yes, 256 people) was played on stage in real time.

Then again, maybe they are trying to avoid battling with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Halo ODST, both which are sure to draw people into their online lobbies. You sorta need everyone to join in when you have 256 player capability.
