Remember NHL 3-on-3 Arcade for the Xbox Live Arcade and PSN? It was a fun diversion, featuring the actual NHL 09 engine, big-headed players, a fine sense of speed, and smooth gameplay. All it really needed were some actual modes to enjoy that engine in, because exhibition play grew old quickly.

Apparently, that must have been a success, because EA is planning to do the same thing with Madden (totally not pictured above). Peter Moore announced the game for a holiday ‘10 release, with no further details aside from big heads, which of course is all you need to know. Big heads = money. It’s a very simple equation.
