Aion is a korean MMORPG developed and currently being published by NCsoft. The game is built on a modified,(and at this point, wonderfully optimized), version of the CryEngine, and sports a very hefty character creation menu. Aion has gotten a lot of positive attention since its announcement, no doubt in part because of its beautiful art direction and flight mechanics. (Sprout wings and fly? Sign me up!).

Aion has been described by players and critics alike as taking much of the best of MMOs out there and combining it into one beautiful package. From its offset Aion has exuded an great amount of polish, and with multiple previous betas overseas, there is little doubt that the North American release this month will be nothing short of brilliant.
Aion is set to launch at version 1.5, with all the content of several updates, which include: several new dungeons, new regions and wing types, skills, recipes, and loads of other goodies. Dozens of new quests, and increased experience gains make for a very impressive MMO release.
