Typically, you don’t want your news coming from a cease-and-desist order, but that was the case with some recent legal action from Harmony Gold, who told IGN to take down some screen shots for the new MechWarrior title. Considering our current depressed state over the mech genre, seeing Mechwarrior possibly entering into some legal trouble, well, those mental problems are further compounded.

Harmony Gold seems angry that certain mechs resemble those found in the Robotech universe, and given how early MechWarrior is into development, certainly the offending ‘bots could removed and satisfy everyone in the process. If it doesn’t, maybe Sega would reconsider bringing Chromehounds back? Please? Yes, we’ve reduced ourselves to begging. We truly are that pathetic.
