Peter Moore confirmed that the current NASCAR series which began in 1997 (although Andretti Racing also featured stock car racing a year earlier, the base for the franchise to follow) is currently on hiatus, ending with NASCAR Kart Racing, the latter a reason to kill just about any franchise.

That said, maybe if EA took a look back at the great NASCAR Rumble they would have been onto something. That turned into the vastly underrated Rumble Racing on the PS2, a game which has yet to find a deserving sequel. So, how about it EA?
