In celebration of Ultima Online’s 12-year anniversary, the Return to Britannia campaign has been announced. As part of the campaign, all former players are welcomed back to Ultima Online, for unlimited free play through October 16th. Closed accounts in good standing have been re-activated, and former players can log back in using their original user-name and password. Players who no longer have access to their user-name and password may retrieve their account info at EA’s support site.

New content available to returning players through this campaign includes Mondain’s legacy, the seventh Ultima Online expansion.

Players returning through this campaign can download and install the Ultima Online client.

Released in September of 1997, Ultima Online is one of the longest-running MMOG’s in history. Ultima Online has spawned eight expansions and numerous content updates, making it one of the largest and most complex of MMORPG’s to date. The latest expansion, Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss, released earlier in September, revolves around the Gargoyle race, features new expansive areas to explore, and includes the Stygian Abyss, the largest dungeon area introduced into UO.
