Global Agenda, developed by Hi-Rez studios, is a mission-based action MMORPG developed around the Unreal 3 Engine and set in the near future. The game features fast-paced range and melee combat, RPG-esque character progression, competitive play, solo and co-op missions, extensive customization, etc. Standard MMORPG fare.
Players will be able to experience the major features of the game from the get-go, with the original purchase of the game ($49.99). This includes the creation of up to eight player characters, character customization, access to all weapons, co-op PvE missions, and PvP missions, among other features.
In addition to the initial purchase an optional subscription package is available, called Global Agenda: Conquest, granting players access to elite-level PvE missions, Alliance vs. Alliance gameplay, agency and alliance management, auction house, mail system, upgraded text and voice chat, player crafting, additional character customization, and a fair bit more.

It seems one would be better off buying into the subscription content, to be honest. The subscription is $12.99 a month, but is cheaper with the purchase of longer subscriptions, ($11.49 per month with the purchase of three months, or $9.99 per month for six months).
The fact that it’s action-oriented puts the game on a more interesting plain than your every day MMORPG. No elves, no sorcery, no Tolkien-esque fantasy, just sci-fi action with robots, guns, and lasers.
The alternate subscription plan seems a bit worrisome, though. At first glance, it seems like a good idea, as people can essentially play the non-MMO content without any additional fees, and the MMO content with a relatively inexpensive monthly fee. Hellgate London had a similar plan but, well, let’s just say it didn’t turn out as well as it sounded on paper. If the developer doesn’t cater to the subscription players and offer nice premium content worth the player’s money, they alienate them. But by catering to them, they alienate non-subscription players. It will be interesting to see how Hi-Rez studios tackles the dilemma.
