Castanic berserker
Tera (The Exiled Realm of Arborea), is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Blue Hole Studios, and published by Hangame Korea. Hangame is also publishing a plethora of other great games, such as Continent of the Ninth.
Much like Continent of the Ninth, Tera is a graphical powerhouse that in many respects raises the bar for MMOGs. Aesthetically, Tera and Blade & Soul are the commanding graphical and artistic MMORPGs in the coming year.
Also like Continent of the Ninth, what sets Tera Online apart from other MMORPGs is it’s battle system. However, while C9 is heavily action-oriented, it lacks an open world since it comprises of instanced dungeons and the town hubs, and feels more like an online action game at times (not that this is a bad thing at all). Tera promises to be a full-on MMORPG, and it’s lack of a lock-on mechanic promises an exciting style of combat.

Human Lancer
There are six character races in Tera, and eight character classes. Racially, the six character races are:
- The hulking, reptilian Aman
- The oppressed, demonic-looking Castanics
- The peaceful, giant Baraka
- The classic, arrogant High Elves
- The tiny, animalistic Popori
- Plain old Humans
The races in Tera, however are a purely aesthetic choice. In the current beta of Tera Online, there are no stat differences between races. A massive, hulking Aman fighter and an average-build human have the same stats, so players need not fear selecting their ideal character and class only to be gimped later in the game.

Woman berserker
The character classes are the:
- The sword-weilding Slayer
- The dual-sword wielding Warrior
- The lance-and-shield toting Lancer
- The fiery Sorcerer
- The magically-defensive Priest
- The axe-crazy Berserker
- The magical Elementalist
- The enchanted, bow-blasting Archers
Tera Online has the look, and it’s gameplay seems promising. It is definitely a title to look out for in the coming year.
