Mass Effect 3’s New Multiplayer DLC, Rebellion, May or May Not be Real

A while back, rumors were floating around the offical Bioware forums that a new Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC pack was leaked. Only today do we get some semblance of evidence to actually support it, not unlike when Resurgance was leaked with an image.

It was discovered that a Hong Kong PSN page supposedly uploaded details of the rumored Rebellion pack early. The details suggested a similar batch of new multiplayer toys like Resurgance.

“The Rebellion Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard. The battle continues – hold the line!”

Speculation believes the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrators will be different from the ones already available by being male with different skills and that the Phoenix is a code name for Protheans, but that is only rumor.

However, another source chimed in that Bioware has actually stepped in to quash the rumor but with cryptic language you might recognize in PR-speak. While the leak was shot down, the rep does add that new information may appear later this month. Who knows how much Bioware is willing to let on at this point?
