West vs. Activision Lawsuit Reaches A Confidential Agreement

One of the biggest lawsuits involving some of the highest profile players of the games industry has finally come to close. The case of Jason West and Vince Zampella versus Activision over their controversial termination reached a settlement before going to court. The details of the agreement are strictly confidential but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that a lot of money was being thrown around.

In the lawsuit, West and Zampella sued for wrongful termination from Infinity Ward while Activision counter-sued, saying the duo conspired to take away some of Infinity Ward’s best talent over to their direct competitor, EA. The case had $1 billion at stake, so it’s mind boggling to imagine just what kind of money was thrown around just to not take the case to a jury.

If there’s one thing that can be said about the resolution of the case, it was said that West was “apparently happy” after walking out of the courtroom. It certainly sounds like West and Zampella came out on top in the lawsuit.
