Week in Arcade: Retro City Rampage

retrocityrampage

The first XBLA release in two weeks (and of 2013) is here, and it’s a $10 must have.

Retro City Rampage

Just in case you’re a 360-exclusive owner and you haven’t played one of our 2012 games of the year, then this is the port you need. Excellent, retro-fied addition to the XBLA line-up that includes so many rapid-fire references, you’ll need to play it twice to catch them all. Retro City Rampage moves almost too fast for its own good, but it’s so eager to show off its sights, you can’t help but be pulled in. The game never stops being fun, and with a great array of visual filters, it’s never boring. Unless you’ll be lost in the realm of ’80s references, there is little reason not to give it a go.
