Square-Enix, the famed developer and publisher of the renowned Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest RPG series, is teaming up with Gamepot USA, the U.S. publishing division of the Japanese gaming firm giant Gamepot Inc., to bring a new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) to the free-to play audience; Fantasy Earth Zero.

Square Enix announced in Los Angeles on the 13th of October that a compilation entailing the entire Final Fantasy XI world (including all previous expansions and add-on scenarios), will be available as a download, and as a retail product starting November 12 2009. Dubbed the Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection, this impressive release will be available solely for Windows PC and the Xbox 360.
