Rumors sometimes prove to be true, such as the rumblings of a new DS model coming down the pipe. That turned out to be the DSi, a new version of the hardware with internal storage, a SD card slot, and incredibly crappy 0.3 megapixel camera. Users of the DSi will be able to access an exclusive online store available only to them, and viewable on a slightly larger screen than the previous model.
The new version will run $180 when it lands in Japan November 1st, with a US release date set for sometime in “late 2009.”
Oh, and by the way, it doesn’t sport the Game Boy Advance port. Yeah, no Guitar Hero, no Arkanoid, and no GBA games. Ouch.
