Sony Launches Home, Microsoft Not Pleased

It’s not surprising that Microsoft isn’t a fan of PlayStation Home, but what’s surprising is just how much they hate it. In an interview posted by Kotaku, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg laid out the details on what Microsoft thinks of the service:

“What Home to me feels like is Second Life for hardcore gamers… It feels like 2005 tech in 2008. I’m not sure that’s what people want.”

Ouch. 2005? Last time I checked, no console had anything even remotely like that in 2005. I’m no Home fan (don’t even plan on downloading it), but to shred it like that is awfully harsh, especially after the Mii-copying Avatars.
