Despite some hefty sales of downloadable games like Mega Man 9, Bionic Commando Rearmed, and Super SFII HD Remix, Capcom’s income for the last nine months dropped a staggering 95%. That number sounds bad, but also keep in mind the company has a massive lineup scheduled for the next few months, including Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising Wii, Bionic Commando, and new IP Dark Void.
With only a few titles released in ’08 to stores, the numbers aren’t that surprising, nor does it mean the company is in trouble. There’s little doubt their titles lineup for the next 90 days will swing that number around in the opposite direction.
