Think Microsoft couldn’t progress any further into their goal of worldwide corporate domination? Think again. If January is any indication, they’ll be reaching their goal quicker than previously expected.
In terms of hardware sales, those were up 33% from the same time last year. As such, January was also home to the largest number of subscribers in the history of the service, although no specific numbers were specified. Instead, Microsoft touted a larger number, with a tally of 17 million people now slaughtering each other mercilessly online… or playing Uno… but slaughtering people mercilessly sounds like way more fun. In even better news, despite the increase, servers seem to be holding, unlike the mess that was the 2007/2008 January holiday transition which saw the service buckle under the weight.
