GTA IV Lost & the Damned Makes $21 Million

Remember when Microsoft forked over a ton of cash for exclusive rights to Grand Theft Auto IV’s DLC? It cost the company a hefty $50 million to keep it to themselves, and it has a ways to go before the risk pays off.

The expansion has brought in an estimated $18 million in online sales, and a “meager” $3 million through retail channels. Analyst Michael Pachter has called for 2 million total sales by the end of the year, and it’s already halfway there. That means there’s a chance Microsoft could still break even on the deal if the sales number stay steady.
