Microsoft opened their press conference with an elaborate set-up for Beatles Rock Band, going to the lengths of throwing Ringo Star and Paul McCartney up on stage without a clue as to what they were doing. That was funny.
However, they failed to mention on thing: Beatles Rock Band is a stand alone. The songs are not compatible with any other version of Rock Band, and vice versa. Abbey Road, when released later as DLC, will also only be playable in Beatles. Also, no future versions of Rock Band will support Beatles either. Talk about a strict licensing deal…
