PSP Go Does Not Have Faster Processor

pspgo

A rumor went live about a week ago stating the PSP Go had a substantially faster processor than the original PSP, 40% so in fact clocking in at 480 MHz. Those rumors, as many end up, turned out to be false.

The number is technically true, but it refers to the USB port, not the CPU itself. Those that thought the outrageous $249 price of the PSP Go was justified by a new processor are wrong. The system is still a baffling rip-off on the part of Sony, removing a UMD drive that is a signficant part of the original system’s cost. Terrible. *end rant
