Look, Sonic can run faster than Mario. It was utterly stupid to put them together in a 100-meter dash, as the rather poor Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games did. Obviously selling to an audience that fails to process basic logic, the game sold a few million copies on its way to becoming a chart topper.
That unfortunate turn of events is leading to a sequel, which as least puts the two characters on a snowboard, which makes at least some sense in terms of speed competition. The latest one, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, is scheduled to further dillute both franchises on October 16th for the DS and Wii.
