Boom Blox is, for many reasons, the best thing on the Wii. It is the perfect blending of motion controls, simple fun, destruction, and online features (at least in the sequel Bash Party). That said, there’s a chance of the franchise coming to other consoles if EA Bright Light Studio Head Harvey Elliott has anything to say… however cryptic. When asked by Videogamer if it could appear on other systems, he stated:
“I wouldn’t rule anything out, never say never… Right now I’m really proud that it’s stayed focused on the Wii and I think it’s the right thing. Who knows for the future.”
The reasoning boils down to motion controls, although it’s not exactly difficult to see the game translating to a standard controller, or another hardware’s motion controls.
