Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away Sony nuked everything interesting and fun about Star Wars Galaxies, rendering it into yet another useless, grinding MMO with no heart. Not that the game was spectacular in the first place.
Considering the mass legion of Star Wars fans young and old, it was no surprise when LucasArts and Bioware teamed up to create a new (and hopefully better) MMORPG based on the Star Wars series. A new interview with lead writer Daniel Erickson brings more hope that Old Republic will indeed be a force to be reckoned with.
Gamers and MMO fans are hoping Star Wars: The Old Republic will bring the magic back, giving players an in-depth, gorgeous universe to explore, kick ass combat and plenty of unique story opportunities for those RPG-ers out there to enjoy. So far, from trailers, screenshots and leaked info out there, it’s looking pretty tasty.
