Nick Mason deserves some credit. He is sticking to his beliefs and not looking for a quick cash-in. He claims he would “consider it,” referring to a Pink Floyd edition of Rock Band or Guitar Hero, depending on who had the better deal most likely. Mason does note:
“It irritates me having watched my kids do it – if they spent as much time practising the guitar as learning how to press the buttons they’d be damn good by now.”
However, Mason believes the “business of selling records has almost disappeared.” He sees the games as a new way to get the songs out to the younger generations, and make money from his work in the process. You really can’t argue with any of his points, and if this sets in motion a Pink Floyd edition of either game, then you can argue even less.
