Ubisoft’s Uplay launches with Assassin’s Creed II

Ubisoft Entertainment S.A.Ubisoft announced the launch it’s new multi-platform online service, Uplay. Xbox 360 and PS3 players of Assassin’s Creed II will be the first to connect with and take advantage of Uplay services. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed II launched Tuesday, November 17th, and will be available in PAL territories on Friday, November 20th. Uplay is developed around four main services for Ubisoft gamers, Uplay Win, Uplay Help, Uplay Share, and Uplay Shop. Uplay is launching as beta; as such Assassin’s Creed II players will be able to connect with Uplay Win only.

Assassin's CreedUplay Win is a reward system that allows players to collect units or points based around their actions in games, and exchange them for bonus in-game content and goods. Uplay Win Units can be collected across multiple platforms, available for PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3.

In Assassin’s Creed II, a real Altaïr costume and exclusive in-game content will be available, such as access to the Auditore Family Crypt, among other rewards offered through Uplay Win. The beauty of the Uplay system is that players don’t need to redeem their units right away, as they can be saved for use on other games such as the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction and many more to come.
