Many of you Call of Duty fans that haven’t invested in either the Prestige or Hardened edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may have been wondering how long you would have to wait before you could get your grubby paws over the Classic edition of the game, which was bundled as part of the limited edition packs.
It turns out that you haven’t had to wait long at all.
Europe’s Xbox Community Manager Graeme Boyd announced via Twitter that Xbox 360 owners will be able to download a remastered version of the classic first person shooter via Xbox Live from Wednesday, December 2, and will be sold at 1200 points. Shortly after this announcement, Activision revealed that Playstation 3 owners will be able to get the game just a day later on December 3, sold at $14.99.
The game offers all 24 levels of the 2003 classic, complete with multiplayer, online leader boards and a beauty treatment to bring it up to date. Considering the recent news of $3 Billion sales across the COD franchise and Activision’s extremely optimistic predictions for sales of the upcoming DLC pack for Modern Warfare 2, this remake will surely by flying off of the cyber shelves.
