Spike’s Video Game Awards may still be of dubious credibility, but at the very least, it’s like a mini-E3 with the amount of trailer reveals. The big showing was undoubtedly Halo Reach, the final Bungie Halo title, and nicely teased in Halo 3: ODST, where a memorial can be found to the battle. Skull-faced and female Spartans are shown, if not much else:
Crackdown 2, a sequel to the most vastly underrated Xbox 360 exclusive ever, is looking superb as well, with a strong focus on co-op, something lacking in the original. Oh, and a priceless take on ’50s pop accompanies the footage:
Medal of Honor makes a comeback as rumored and will be titled… well, Medal of Honor. The focus on modern warfare makes it look a lot like like… well, Modern Warfare:
Other titles revealed include Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, a True Crime sequel, and a downloadable game based on the TV show Deadliest Warrior.
