Fantasy, meet Steam-punk

Atlus Online and Level Up! Games, (the Philippines first and largest online game publisher), announced a partnership to release Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent in the Philippines. Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent is now out in the Philippines, as it was scheduled to launch on December 18th, 2009.

“Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent represents the consummate online community gaming experience,” states Jamie Ortiz, the Head of Business Operations of Atlus U.S.A., Inc. “Few other F2P MMORPGs can brag about having as many in-game events or as hands-on a team of community managers. It’s that level of dedication to the community and attention to detail that has helped Neo Steam stand apart from its peers, and why we’re so excited to be able to work with Level Up! to bring the game to an entirely new audience in the Philippines.”

Neo Steam is a 3D fantasy/ steam-punk-styled world, where electricity was never discovered, and “Neo Steam” powers everything. However, because “Neo Steam” is finite, two major factions are vying for power, to control what is left of the resource.

Players can choose between five races and four different character classes, and they can choose to join one of these two warring factions: the Kingdom of Elerd, which is something like your typical fantasy kingdom of swords and sorcery, and the Republic of Rogwell, which focuses it’s efforts on Neo Steam advancement and technical prowess.
