Week in Arcade: KrissX

A single release this week, something you can relax with after frantic shooters.

KrissX

Not much press on this one prior to release, but this Konami-published word scrambler is inviting and fun. Set up like a crossword but played as a letter flipper, this unique idea is absorbingly addictive and quick on the achievement trigger.

What starts off as a simple, calming experience, quickly turns into a hurried game of thinking as the clock becomes aggressive. A slight twitch element, that of collecting bonuses that are dropped after combos, keeps you paying attention after each word.

Multiple modes, including themed puzzles (easy DLC for sure), time attack, and more should make this last for $10.
