It took a while, but the latest 3-D installment of the SNK/Playmore franchise Samurai Shodown, subtitled Sen in the US (Edge of Destiny elsewhere), has a publisher. Originally set to be released earlier this year by Ignition, the game suddenly disappeared from various websites.
Thankfully, XSEED games has stepped up to deliver the game to US users, although the release date is set for this spring… a rather open date with no specification as to price either. The weapons-based fighter will feature a cast of 24, new visuals, revamped controls, and vastly different gameplay. The debut trailer had us worried, but hopefully the final product turns out better than the expectation.
