With the coming of Valentines Day on Sunday the 14th of February, Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is putting together several events for the many MMOGs under the SOE umbrella.

EverQuest sees free Shots of Love (an in-game, non-tradeable item) available from the Marketplace. Rare spawns will  be increased from 10:00 AM PST on Friday the 12 of February to 11:59 PM PST Monday, February 15. Love Shots can be picked up from Friday February 12 to Wednesday February 17. Discounted wedding packs are available in the Marketplace for a limited time as well.

EverQuest II celebrates Erollisi Day, Norrath’s festival of love and passion. This year the holiday includes new themed quests, such as “Shot through the heart” and “What’s love got to do with it”, as well as the popular themed quests “Love Lines” and “Find ’em a Find, Catch ’em a Catch”. Themed loot has been added (love notes and candies) which can be used in holiday tradeskill recipes, and exchanged for Erollisi coin; a special holiday currency which can in turn be used to buy from certain Erollisi merchants. New themed crafting items and purchasable items round out the event. All items will be available through Tuesday February, 16.

The Festival of Hearts rolls into Free Realms, a month-long celebration that allows players to participate in themed events, quests, and many other activities. New pets will also be available in the Marketplace.

Ewok Circle, Star Wars Galaxies

The Legends of Norrath card game encourages players to get into the Valentines Day mood by offering the “Spread the Word” scenario, which allows players to win a Book of Love promo card and one of two loot cards – Unscribed Glyph, or Draught of the Brilliant.

Star Wars Galaxies allows players to join in the Ewok Festival of Love by completing special activities for Chak Hearts, which can be traded in for exclusive Ewok Festival of Love rewards, which include:

  • An Ewok Festival of Love painting
  • A bouquet of flowers
  • A wearable halo
  • Wearable wings, available in pink, blue and gold
  • Three new badges, Ambassador of the Festival of Love, Follower of Kyoopid, and the Love Broker

The Ewok Festival of Love goes on until March 2, 2010.
