Rumors have begin to swirl around the net, backed up by some surveys late last year, that Sony is considering a “premium subscription” to PSN to be revealed at E3. VG247 credits a “highly placed source” that it will cost around $79 a year, with the possibility of offering one free PSN per month (Sony’s choice). They would also include a premium streaming music service in the same package, with the possibility of playing that while in-game.
The same source made it clear this will not affect current users in anyway. This is simply a bonus for current users if they choose to subscribe. All features that are currently available will remain free. This could be a huge push for the company during their E3 press conference, along with motion controller Move.
