APB, the recently released MMO from Realtime Worlds (Crackdown), was supposed to be ported to a console. As of yet, that has not happened. The issue does not lie with with the developer, but logistics.
Consoles have yet to find their MMO niche, the only real attempt being Final Fantasy XI from Square. A port from the PC requires a dedicated server, something not easy to do on the 360 and PS3, especially on the former which is built around Microsoft having full control. There is also the issue of pricing, something that any other MMO design needs to face. Why pay a monthly fee when Microsoft is already charging $50 per year?
As of now, Realtime is focused on the PC edition, and getting “new content out, updating the game and talking about what’s coming next.” In other words, it’s going to be a while.
