Week in Arcade: Crazy Taxi

With all of the sales going on, Sega’s Crazy Taxi is the only title on the menu.

Crazy Taxi

It’s amazing what a chance in venue and music will do to a game. Due to licensing issues, all of the fast food restaurants have been changed to generic locales and the Offspring music has been eliminated. It’s nowhere near the same. Crazy Taxi remains fun, certainly far more than the sequel, and it mostly shines here too. This is a direct port of the PC/Dreamcast edition only with widescreen support and better resolution. Still controls like Crazy Taxi which in the end is the real key, but the translation is not as good as the original.
