This weeks selection of Xbox Live deals dips the price on some “winter” themed stuff. Stuff for your Avatar, still overpriced regardless, has been dropped including the snowboard and the gingerbread cookie, the latter which is (seriously) 120 MS Points… for a cookie… that’s not real.
Bigger and better deals exist in the gaming realm, beginning with the Gears of War 2 Snowblind map pack, down to only 160 MS Points. Games include NHL 3-on-3 Arcade, Polar Panic, and South Park Tower Defense.
NHL is only 200 MS Points, making a full game only 80 points more than a cookie, even if the game itself is a bit barren. Exhibition and online play are the only options, but the physics resemble the full-fledged NHL title, and the power-ups are a blast. It’s not quite the awesomeness of NHL 2-on-2 Open Ice Challenge or NHL Hitz, but for 200 points, it’s hard to beat. That should boost the online community too.
