Wii Console Drops to $170, Further Discount May 15th

If you’re still holding out on picking up a Wii and one of the vastly underrated titles like Kirby’s Epic Yarn or Wario Shake-It, now would be the time… maybe. Retailers (Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Amazon, and Gamestop) have discounted the Wii hardware, which now comes with Motion Plus and both Wii Sports titles, to only $170.

However, if you wait a couple of weeks, that price will soon be $150, as an official Nintendo price drop takes effect. The drop comes on news of increasingly slow Wii sales stateside as the opposing consoles play catch-up after that initial flurry. This week also spurred on rumors of a Wii successor in the works, and possibly announced at E3.
