Microsoft’s E3 press conference was all about Kinect, Kinect, and a slight dash of Kinect. Games such as Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will utilize the motion camera, cementing the device as something for the core gamer. For the more casual crowd, Dance Central and Kinect Sports 2 will sequelfy some of the more popular options for the device. Players can also check out Kinect Labs right now, a downloadable app that allows for all sorts of innovative technology through the camera.
While the expected play tests of Gears of War 3 and Modern Warfare 3 went off as usual, the biggest reveal came right at the end of the show. Halo 4 will begin a new fight at the end 2012, the beginning of a new trilogy planned for the Xbox 360, which makes you wonder how much longer this hardware will stick around.
