Week in Arcade: From Dust

The Summer of Arcade continues with this $15, fairly original god game.

From Dust

From Dust deals with the trials of a primitive tribe as they try to spread their kind across the landscape. The player is known as The Breath, breathing life (literally) into their kind as they traverse the landscape and fend off natural disaster. It takes a little while to find its groove, the game willingly spacing out the tutorial without overloading the various aspects into a single level. There’s satisfaction in seeing those little people grow and populate, and pressure to keep them alive. Well done.
